COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's senior goaltender Bailey Huber (Mahtomedi, Minn.) was named All-MIAC and two other Johnnies were honorable mention when the conference's postseason accolades were announced on Wednesday, March 12. Junior defenseman Mason Campbell (Rosemount, Minn.) and senior forward Justin Thompson (Woodbury, Minn.) were All-MIAC honorable mention, while sophomore forward Cam Boche (Lakeville, Minn.) was named to the MIAC All-Playoff team.
The All-MIAC honor is the first for Huber and the sixth for a Johnnie goaltender in the last eight seasons (no awards in 2020-21), joining Mac Berglove '21 (2022), Andrew Lindgren '20 (2018-20) and Saxton Soley '16 (2016). Soley, who like Huber and Lindgren wore No. 29, was also All-MIAC as a freshman in 2013. Huber made nine starts (5-4 record) in net and led the MIAC in save percentage (.936), while finishing second in GAA (2.00) in conference play. Overall, he posted a 6-7 record with a 2.43 GAA and .925 save percentage (407 saves) in 14 games. He ended his career with an even 20-20-5 record, a 2.41 GAA and .918 save percentage (1,213 saves). The 2.41 GAA is fifth-best in program history.
Thompson played all 16 conference games and led the Johnnies in assists (8) and points (12) in MIAC play. He led the team with 12 assists overall and tied with classmate Spencer Rudrud (Eden Prairie, Minn.) for the team lead with 16 points in 25 games overall. Thompson ended his SJU career with 22 points (7g/15a) in 35 games.
Campbell also played all 16 MIAC games and totaled eight points (4g/4a) in conference play. He led SJU's defensemen with 12 points (4g/8a), including five (2g/3a) in the team's final three games. The assistant captain enters his senior season with 35 points (14g/21a) in 75 career games from the blue line. Boche scored a pair of goals in the Johnnies' 4-3 loss to Concordia-Moorhead Feb. 26 in the MIAC quarterfinal. He led the team with four power-play goals and finished third in goals (9) and points (14) in 21 games. Boche has 23 points (11g/12a) in 45 career games.
The Johnnies led the MIAC in shots-on-goal (32.8 spg.), shorthanded goals (3), scoring defense (2.56 gpg.) and penalty kill (91.3 percent/42-for-46) in conference play. SJU tied for third in the MIAC with an 8-7-1 record (11-14-1 overall) and made its seventh MIAC Playoff appearance in the last nine seasons in 2024-25.
