COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – Saint John's senior Connor Hartley (Inver Grove Heights, Minn./Rosemount) was named the MIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week on Monday, March 31.Hartley earned the complete-game shutout in SJU's 3-0 win over Macalester in game one of Saturday's MIAC-opening sweep in Collegeville. He allowed three singles and struck out three without a free pass on just 69 pitches (47 strikes) in the seven innings. Hartley retired his first 10 batters faced and is now 3-2 with a 4.22 ERA, .266 opponent batting average and 19 strikeouts (to three walks) in a team-leading 27.1 innings pitched his season.SJU's (12-7, 2-0 MIAC) doubleheader at Carleton scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, in Northfield was postponed to a later date due to the wintry weather forecast for the upcoming days.
